~ A Little Background
~
Gus
Isidore "in the biz" is known as a brilliant guitarist as
well as a proven songwriter & producer. He has worked with numerous
artists of many genres in his very busy career such as Mark Bolan, Phil
Lynott, Peter Gabriel,
Peter Green, Seal, etc. just to name a few.
In the 80's one of his many projects included several recordings and
European tours with a solo Phil Lynott. Through the 90's Gus recorded
and world toured extensively with Seal, supporting Seal on 4 albums,
Seal (1st Album) 1991; Seal (2nd Album) 1994; Human
Being 1998; Seal IV 2003. Gus is also credited on writing and co-writing
some of the Seal songs and music. This is just a tiny nutshell of Gus
Isidore's musical career.

Little Background ~
Chicago drummer Ron Roesing has a track record for being a hard
hitting one
of a kind drummer as well as being a successful songwriter & producer.
Ron is known for being the co-founder of the Smashing Pumpkins as well
as drumming artist for "The Marked", "Ministry",
"Filter", "Nova 6" just to name a
few.

A NEW ALTERNATIVE VINTAGE ROCK BAND
HISTORY
Upon a chance meeting via a mutual friend Gus Isidore & Ron Roesing
took a step back
to create a "New Alternative Vintage Rock" outfit called THE
SUNS OF NEPTUNE.
The sound draws from classic bands like Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink
Floyd etc.
with a modern alternative Rock twist. They have a history that spans
back a long way as accomplished musicians,songwriters and performers
in the music industry. They also have professional experiences in a
variety of musical styles and genres that span from A to Z which indeed
makes their hybrid collaboration of writing truly unique. They are also
a writing and production team with their own 48 track studio "Limehouse
Sounds" and at present have several projects such as DollyO, The
Twits, & film and TV soundtracks. The Twits projects has gained
immense interest as this is based on a special 3D animation cartoon
style Rock band.

The past experience of these musicians certainly
shines through in the 4 tracks on this EP. This is rock with a fresh
difference. The sound is clear, clean, projecting and tight, after listening
to the mp3 samples I was left hungry for more. A few added notes of
interest of who is involved with this CD and the band are the engineers;

Kramer ~ engineer /producer of numerous historical acts dating back
to 1967 including Hendrix, Led Zep, Beatles, Kiss and Paul Reeve, engineer/producer
of Muse, Supergrass, David Hallyday.

I downloaded the EP & I really liked it. It reminds me of lots of classic 70's rock records and I can hear the Hendrix influence. The sound is really tight and I love some of the bass riffs. Gus Isidore has an amazing voice. One of those voices which kind of hits you and leaves you dazed. Bit like being hit by a bus at high speed!!!! I've been looking forward to listening to The Suns of Neptune and have had it in the office CD player for the last few days!!!! ...it doesn't disappoint and has a really nice vibey feel to it - Simon : Gus Guitars
Great music, very drum driven, I especially like in ASBOS when you suddenly hear the electric guitar hauntingly in the background. Quite an amazing track.. I keep listening to it!! Gus sustained that note well on Xenium at the end!! Loved the whole EP .. it seems to have the rock of celtic/tribal/hippy feel with a modern slant to it, very clever music, powerful and oozes with feeling. Once was not enough and the sample tracks don't do this album justice. You must buy the album to truly appreciate; everytime you listen, you'll discover anew, I could not stop listening! Sublime hi-energy with subtle "alternative blues" like undertones..my words are not enough!
