My first band was 'Love or Confusion' they were signed by "Immediate Records" at a very early stage, after having been invited to play a live Radio Luxemburg show hosted by Jimmy Saville. We were offered deals whilst in London by other companies including the Beatles own Label "Apple".

My next Musical incursion was with the 60,s Star Dave Berry (Recording on Decca Records). I travelled both in Britain and the Continent. I met many groups and famous people during this time and had two offers to move to Liverpool.

I did take up the offer from one of Britains finest and well respected bands of the period 'Bitter Suite' (recording on Bus Stop Records) who went on to be local heroes and one of the best live rock bands never to make the top ten in the British charts.

Over a long period we influenced many a rock band, including a young band called Def Leppard who started out playing the warm up support slot for us for £10 a night. Would you believe that eventually we wound up supporting them on a small tour round Britain.

By this time our professional days were numbered and it was time to roll over. A few years of boredom was followed by a return to the stage in the present format as 'The Phil Brodie Band'.

Playing with Gerry Scanlan and Neil Wathey feels comfortable and as a Blues and Rock outfit on the present Gig circuit, we are back enjoying every minute again.

My Musical Influences include; Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Peter Green, Gary Moore and Eric Clapton

Like one of the greatest British guitarists Peter Green, I have probably one of the largest private guitar collections in the north which includes;
